Hit the Fallen's cross and beat him to unlock Holy Cross in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse. To reach him through Paris Streets, activate the hidden lever beside the barrels to open the passage below. After the fight, open your inventory, absorb Holy Cross and equip it.

Where is the Fallen barrel lever in Paris Streets?

The Fallen barrel lever is hidden beside barrels like the ones below the spirit; activate it to open the lower passage.

Find the spirit on the upper walkway. Its clue points you toward barrels like the stack beneath it. The barrels and candles sit below the walkway, not on the rooftops.

Look beside those barrels and activate the hidden lever.
Go down into the passage it opens. The Fallen hidden passage is below the lever, so check the lower level after activating it.

How do you get past the Fallen's cross in Paris?

Destroy the Fallen's thrown cross with your sword or magic; you can also jump over it.

The spirit's clue tells you that a well-placed steel strike can shatter the cross.

When the Fallen throws, the spinning cross travels between you and him. Hitting it removes the projectile, which is safer than jumping it.

For his triple combo, slide through the first swing, wait for the second, then slide through the third before counterattacking. Save your main attack window for after that last swing: he can turn toward you for the follow-up. Slide beneath his aerial swing and keep clear of the corner when he slams down. How do you unlock and equip Holy Cross?

Beat the Fallen to obtain Holy Cross, then open your inventory, absorb it and equip it.
